Dosis de un café día son ventajas no lo dejes
Is it safe?
Caffeine has been generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA. One cup of coffee contains roughly 80 to 175 mg of caffeine. Doses less than 400 mg per day typically do not result in adverse effects of elevated/irregular heart rate or sleep disturbance. It is recommended that pregnant women limit caffeine consumption to 200 mg/day. Toxic doses for an adult exceed 10 grams per day, much higher than typical consumption.
It is important to note that caffeine does have the potential to lead to what is called “drug dependence,” a situation where after consistent use of a substance, abrupt discontinuation leads to withdrawal symptoms. In the case of caffeine withdrawal, symptoms include headache, irritability, and fatigue. One can also develop a “tolerance” to caffeine, meaning with chronic use of caffeine it may take a progressively higher dose to keep achieving the desired result.
