The Associated Press: UK opens investigation into July 7 bombing deaths
extracto
LONDON — An inquiry into the 2005 London suicide bombings opened Monday, with victims' family members reliving their nightmares as details poured out about the slow response to the attacks, confusion on the ground and how the bombers were seen laughing as they traveled to the city to commit mass murder.
Some relatives of the 52 commuters slain on July 7, 2005 wept in court as they heard conversations recorded just after the explosions in which confused London Underground staff struggled to grasp the scale of what had happened.
"I felt very disturbed and upset and particularly concerned for those whose loved ones did not die immediately," Ros Morley, whose husband Colin died in the bombing of a subway train near Edgware Road station, told Channel 4 News after attending the coroner's inquest.
"There was no sense of emergency. They could have made a Mayday call," she added.
