Lester Bowie ( fuente: Diccionario del jazz (Philippe Carles, André Clergeat, Jean-Louis Comolli ): En 1965 asume la dirección musical de Fontella Bass y acompaña a estrellas del blues (los guitarristas/cantantes Little Milton y Albert King ), y del rhythm and blues (Solomon Burke ,Joe Tex, Rufus Thomas...). En 1966 se establece en Chicago, toca en estudios para subsistir (rock, rhythm and blues), coincide con Muhal Richard Abrams y Roscoe Mitchell, se hace miembro de AACM y participa en la génesis del Art Ensemble Of Chicago…
